MOLOCH

Industrial synthesis engine

Two oscillators that feed back into themselves, a diode ladder filter that chews rather than colours, wavetable and granular sampling from any audio file you own, and a modulation matrix that runs at audio rate. Built for sounds that were never meant to be polite.

The MOLOCH interface: oscillator, filter, envelope, modulation and effect panels over a dark industrial background.
Every parameter on one panel. No menu diving, no hidden pages.

What is inside

Ninety-seven parameters, all automatable, none hidden.

01

Oscillators with feedback

Two band-limited oscillators with per-oscillator feedback and through-zero phase modulation, plus a sub that bypasses the filter so the low end survives a resonance sweep.

02

A ladder with teeth

Zero-delay-feedback ladder with per-stage saturation and four characters: Clean, Diode, Transistor and Broken. A Bite control takes it from coloured to genuinely damaged.

03

Wavetable and granular

Load any WAV, AIFF or FLAC. It becomes both a mip-mapped wavetable and raw granular material, so one load and a mode switch changes how it is played, not where it lives.

04

Audio-rate modulation

Six matrix slots across twenty-eight destinations. Sources include the oscillators themselves and the voice output, so you can close a loop the fixed panel cannot reach.

05

Stereo doubling

A second oscillator pair with independent drift, panned against the first. Unison, octave, fifth and super modes. Measured, not claimed: L/R correlation drops from 1.00 to 0.86.

06

71 presets

Across Bass, Lead, Pad, Perc, Keys, Seq, Extreme, Gemini, Matrix, Teeth, Wave, Cloud and Texture. Level-matched, so browsing is not a volume ride.

Listen

Factory presets, straight out of the plugin. No mastering, no drums hiding anything, no post-processing beyond level matching.

Pad

Long, slow, built to sit under everything else.

Deadzone Drone

Texture

Playable, evolving material between pads, effects and metallic keys. Unlike the Cloud presets these need no sample of your own.

Wire Choir

Arc Dust

Cloud

Granular. These run on a sample you load yourself, so what you hear here is one source among infinite others.

Freeze Ray
Very long grains at low density: the sample becomes a sustained pad

Tape Sermon
Slow reverse grains with wow: a half-remembered recording
0:36
Swarm Logic
Heavy pitch jitter: a cloud of insects rather than a pad

Wave

Wavetable oscillator showcases.

Rust Engine
The wavetable position is the instrument, swept by two mod sources at once

Formant Choir

Gemini

The doubled oscillator pair. These lean on stereo width rather than volume, so they sit wide in a mix without eating headroom.

Keys and Perc

Struck and plucked. Yes, it does playable too.

Ruin

The nasty end of the instrument. Matrix-driven and deliberately unstable: audio-rate sources, feedback into the voice, and pan modulated hard so the image will not hold still. They are meant to be difficult.

Vivisection
Output fed back into its own feedback amount. It does not repeat
0:47
Ash Wind
Ultra-bright but clean: a resonant scream rather than distortion

Try it first

The demo is the full instrument. Nothing is disabled.

Unlimited time, with a catch

Every preset, every parameter, no time limit and no nagging. After the first minute of playing, the output fades to silence for a second and a half, roughly every forty seconds.

That is deliberate. A trial that expires in fourteen days interrupts you when you reopen a project months later, and it resets by reloading the plugin, so it stops nobody. This lets you learn the instrument properly and build a patch you actually care about, while making the output useless in a finished track.

Your licence arrives automatically

A personal licence file is generated and emailed to you within a few minutes of purchase. The signing key lives on one machine and never leaves it, which is what lets your licence keep working with no activation server behind it. If the email does not arrive, contact me with your order reference and I will issue it manually.

Questions

How many computers can I install it on?

As many as you personally use. The licence is tied to your name, not to a machine, so there is no seat count and nothing to deactivate when you replace a laptop.

What happens if this website disappears?

Nothing. Verification is local: the plugin checks a signature against a key compiled into it and never contacts a server. A build you own today will still activate in ten years.

I lost my licence file.

Email me with your order reference and I will reissue it. There is no limit on that and no charge.

Is there a Windows version?

Yes. The Windows x64 installer includes VST3, CLAP and the standalone app. AU is a macOS-only format.

Will my presets survive an update?

Yes. They live in your own Application Support folder and are never touched by installing, updating or uninstalling.

Can I use it commercially?

Yes. Anything you make with MOLOCH is yours, with no royalties and no credit required.

Logic does not see the plugin.

Open Logic Pro › Settings › Plug-In Manager and choose Full AU Reset, then restart Logic. The installer forces a rescan, but Logic occasionally needs to be told twice.
